Tonight is the official opening of the Audi German Film Festival in Brisbane – it’s one of our favourite times of the year!
The children’s movies are running from today until Monday the 31st of March, so make sure you check them out! Will you be watching Hanni & Nanni 3 – Germany’s favourite twins – get up to all kinds of mischief at boarding school? Or will you follow the Little Ghost’s adventures exploring the world by day for the first time? Or will you be watching the Famous Five solve another gripping mystery?
We’ll definitely be catching as many of these movies as we can!
You’ll find a full list of movies that are playing at the following link:
We hope to see you around the Palace Centro cinema in Fortitude Valley over the next week!
The Karneval season, which started on the 11.11 (at 11:11am!), officially finished last Tuesday on what is called Fasnacht (the night before the beginning of lent). How did you all spend the 5th season?
We had a blast at the Brisbane German Club’s Karneval – hours filled with dancing, singing, laughing and making new friends! We dusted off our costumes and dressed up as a hippie, a medieval lady of the manor and Pocahontas and could be found on the dance floor singing and dancing along to Karneval hits, such as Viva Colonia! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Hw5HmEjSyM4
But onto even more exciting news…
The date for the 2014 Oktoberfest for Teens has been set! It will be held on Thursday the 16th of Oktober and, as per usual, will take place at the Brisbane (RNA) Showgrounds. So grab your diaries and mark the spot with a giant X! To register your interest for the event email us at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Can’t wait to see you all there! Bis bald! 🙂
